Good morning! It's a beautiful day here with just a few whispy clouds in the sky, and a cold crispness in the air...you can feel the fall season here today! I love it!
The two cards I'm sharing today were inspired by sketches at a couple of blogs that I recently found. The first one is a holiday card based on this week's sketch over at Friday Sketchers Blog and inspired by the paper lace challenge at Practical Scrappers. It also qualifies for the Paper Cutz blog tag challenge this week. In this interpretation of the sketch, I turned the tag to the right 90 degrees. I also used my Gypsy to cut the paper lace from the white glittered paper using the Storybook cartridge. I really love that particular cartridge...it has so many wonderful images and sentiments! It has quickly become my favorite! After cutting the image on my Cricut, I mounted the paper lace onto a piece of vellum so that the pretty Basic Grey papers can still be seen behind it.
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned papers: Basic Grey
Glittered paper: Marcella by K
Border punch: EK Success
Crystal swirls: Prima
Die cut paper lace: Provo Craft Cricut (Storybook)
Mini tag: Making Memories
Other: sewing machine stitiching, ribbon, wire, button
This second card was created using Beate's sketch 102 at the Weekend Sketch Challenge blog. I'm not sure whether you all can guess what my favorite color is by now when you consider that I've used it on most of the cards that I've created this past week, and this card is no exception! LOL! I used my Gypsy and the Storybook cartridge again to cut the silver glittered frame. I simply chose the first outside image and then layered another image within it. When my Cricut cut both outlines, I ended up with the frame! I love it!

Gorgeous cards, love the image and that swirl paper over the vellum, such a neat touch. The lace on the second is so pretty, like the sparkle you gave to the frame too!
