Good morning! I woke up to a beautiful morning today...the rains have such a cleansing effect, and it's so nice to see the sun shining again. My errands were postponed yesterday because of the weather, but it looks like I'll be able to go out and finally get some much-needed groceries for our family today! :)
I was able to do a little creating last night between watching a couple of movies. My husband was watching the last half of Jerry Maguire, and I just had to stop what I was doing to watch the scene near the end when he returns to tell his wife just how much she means to her. I love that part! After that, we started going through our dvd collection. He remembered that the movie For Love of the Game with Kevin Costner was similar so we started watching it, too. It was funny to me that these movies had scenes in which the guy realizes that in the moments when they should have been rejoicing, they felt incomplete because the person they loved wasn't with them to share in the experience. After we finished For Love of the Game, my dh said, "Okay, we can wait another ten years to watch these again. By that time, we'll have forgotten some of the scenes of the movie, and we can enjoy seeing it again. You can enjoy a good cry at the good parts, too." LOL! My husband knows me so well...I have to confess, I get touched so very easily, and I almost always need to have tissues nearby when I watch dramas.
Oh...that reminds me...Fireproof was SOOOO GOOD! Yes, I cried during some parts of that movie, too. {Spoiler alert! Don't read the following if you haven't seen the movie yet...I don't want to ruin it for you! :) } I cried especially when the main character was on a walk with his father and sharing how frustrated he was because he felt what he was doing wasn't appreciated by his wife. Then, when his father speaks to him about Christ's love for us and leans on the cross...that picture of my relationship with God before knowing Christ just had me bawling! LOL! Anyway, I have the movie in my Amazon cart right now and will be buying it to add to our collection. ;-D
