{Thankful} - Altered Frame - Purple Onion Designs
If you haven't done so yet, please leave a comment to share with us what you're thankful for here, and your name will also be entered into the RAK drawing that I will have on Monday. Thanks in advance for participating!
I also want to thank the people who took a moment to register at C28 and vote for my dd's t-shirt design. You can read about the details for voting here. Your votes and comments really means a lot to her, and they're such a big encouragement! She's read the wonderful comments, and has been truly blessed by them all! BIG thanks to you all for this as well! :) BTW, you can vote every 8 hours and the deadline for voting is December 8th!
Well, one of the things that I'm thankful for today is the privilege of being on the Purple Onion Designs DT. Heartfelt thanks goes to Michele for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to work with her stamps! This month the design team was challenged to create projects for this season, and this is what I came up with:
This is an altered frame that I created using
the following items:
- Frame from Michael's
- Harlequin and Late 1800's Script Background stamps from Purple Onion Designs
- Flowers, leaves, rhinestone centers, and crystal swirls from Prima
- Doilies from Wilton
- Stamping ink from Tsukineko (StazOn Opaque White) and Colorbox
- Metal alphabet letters from Joann's
I used the script background stamp and harlequin stamps and stamped them on the
glass using StazOn opaque white ink. I also used the harlequin stamps
around the inner border of the matte and stamped it with Colorbox chalk
ink. I actually put the glass on the bottom of the frame so that I
could layer all of the stamping, embellishments, and photo on top. I
think it's a different approach to having the glass on top of
everything.
This will be on display in our home during the Thanksgiving holidays,
and will serve as a reminder to me of one of the many things for which
I'm thankful this season.
Thanks for visiting, and may your day be filled with blessings for which you can be thankful! :-D
